How we batch a month of content in one day

Batch shooting is the highest-leverage habit in creator content, and almost nobody does it properly. Here is the day we run, more or less unchanged, across several clients.

Before the day

Scripts are locked seventy-two hours ahead — approved, in the client’s own phrasing. Wardrobe is picked. Props are bought. If any of that slips, we move the shoot. A batch day with unfinished scripts becomes an expensive rehearsal.

The day itself

• Light, sound check, two throwaway takes to warm up
• Block one: eight short scripts, single setup
• Wardrobe change, camera reposition
• Block two: eight scripts, new background
• Break away from the camera
• Block three: eight scripts, seated setup
• B-roll, cutaways, hands, environment
• Stills for carousels and thumbnails

The goal is not to film for a month. It is to film until you are bored, then film four more — those four are usually the best ones.

Three setups is the maximum. More and you spend the day moving lights instead of talking.
